WisdomTree Launches GENIUS Act-Compliant Digital Money Market Fund

WisdomTree has adjusted its Government Money Market Digital Fund (WGTXX) to comply with the newly passed GENIUS Act, which establishes federal guidelines for stablecoin reserve investments. The fund, already regulated under the 1940 Act and Rule 2a-7, now aligns with stricter maturity and eligibility requirements for reserve assets.

While the portfolio adjustments may marginally impact yields, the MOVE opens doors to a broader investor base. The GENIUS Act—formally known as the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins Act—provides much-needed regulatory clarity for stablecoin issuers while reinforcing digital assets' role in modern finance.
